Hot Tap & Line Stop Service

Regardless of the material, CARBER has the experience and tooling necessary to fulfill your cold/hot tapping and line stopping needs. Our hot tap and line stop equipment is strategically located across our large network of locations to simplify logistics and get our resources to your site quickly. CARBER offers in-house design, manufacturing, rebuilding and sales of fittings, equipment and materials to satisfy most customer needs. We also offer hot tap and line stop training programs.

In addition to traditional taps, CARBER can provide a variety of taps including offset taps, angle taps, bend taps and blind taps. CARBER can perform taps on lines of many different material compositions (see list below).

CARBER can also provide a variety of line stops; from pivoting head and folding head to bag stops. When hot-work is required downstream of a stop, CARBER incorporates our patented Self-Restrained Isolation Tool as a safety contingency to guarantee that no contents in the line will be exposed to atmosphere/potential ignition source.

The experienced technicians at CARBER are cross-trained to provide hot taps, line stops, as well as other CARBER services. Each one of our safe minded technicians are pipeline, Safe Gulf, and water survival trained and qualified to ensure safety at facilities requiring such specialty training.
